Within a month, many schoolchildren will escape into summer vacatiion.... and for some - graduation.

Has anyone else noticed traffic seems to be picking up? That may not always be a good thing, but in these economic times, it may be a sign that the economy is starting to improve.

Speaking of the economy, real estate is sure picking up steam. Buyers have really been coming out. Foreclosure properties are attracting oodles of bids. Lenders are starting to calm down and do business. Escrows are opening!

The low prices are the biggest reason.

Plus, many buyers reason that interest rates will be heading up. All the trillions of dollars the government is printing, should lead to increased inflation down the road, and that means higher interest rates. Someone locking in a 30-year fixed rate loan today, on a property being sold for half what it went for 2 years ago, is probably going to look like a genus in the not-too-distant future.

And then there's the first-time buyer credit. Up to $8,000 cash back from Uncle Sam if you buy this year. Not bad!
